How many of you have read "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix"(book 5)? Then you'll know what I mean by Dumbledore's Army. Dumledore's Army is a secret organization formed by Harry, Ron, and Hermione. They form it so that they can practice and learn new spells, in case they have to fight Voldemort(better known as You-Know-Who). It has to be in secret since the Ministry doesn't believe that Voldemort is back. The only person who really saw Voldemort come back(and wasn't on his side) was Harry and Dumbledore believes Harry, while the Ministry doesn't. The Ministry thinks that Harry only wants fame, and that Dumbledore only wants power. So, they decide to send someone from the Ministry to Hogwarts. That Ministry official, takes position as the Defense against the Dark Arts teacher. She teaches them pretty much nothing, puts up crazy rules, and gives them cruel punishments for speaking out. Harry, Ron, and Hermione decide that it's time for them to take action and to go against the Ministry. They form a secret committee with a group of other classmates, to practice Defense Against the Dark Arts. Harry is the teacher since he has actually fought off Voldemort. The Committee decides to call itself "Dumbledore's Army" or the "D.A" in support of Dumbledore.
